Our appointment for the installation of the panels was at 8:30 am. We parked in front of the bay last night so that we would be ready. We had a quick breakfast and headed to their lounge to wait.
We met a lovely couple, Myrna and Noah from Winnipeg, who were there for the same purpose and chatted most of the morning about our experiences with RVing. It was amazing how similar we were as couples. It seems that all all RVers share a lot of the same idiosyncrasies. By noon we were all a little bored so they went to Walmart and we went to a local Sears.
Once we got back they were done. They have a very relaxed work ethic here. They started at 8:30 and finished at 2 but only charged us 3 hours labour. We got 2 150 watt panels instead of 3 100 watt ones as the installation charges were less.
The solar place told us of a local mall that allows overnight stays. We decided to spend the night trying the panels out here so we were close enough in case anything didn’t work. The only problem was that it was a big empty parking lot but there was a nice rainbow.
Jennie took the opportunity to explore another mall.
