A short post today. It was a cool day and somewhat hazy so we did an easy, in the woods, trail to get us back in the swing of things.
Thetis Lake Regional Park is only a few minutes from our campground and has a nice 5 km trail that runs along the shore of Upper and Lower Thetis Lakes. There were a few ups and downs but not too much for our out of shape bodies.
Most of the trail did run right next to the shore.
Lots of good viewpoints after the short climbs.
The trail was very smooth. We even saw someone take a stroller around the loop.
There was not much flora to look at. Only a few small flowers.
We had lunch at a small beach.
This is a very popular area for dog people because they can be off leash. There were very few people on the trail without at least a dog or two or three. At the main beach they were all playing with each other.
Back at the RV I spent part of the afternoon washing all the bugs off the front, that we had accumulated on our cross country trip. The rest of it needs a wash as well but that will wait for another day.
Nice to have such a pretty hike with a water view so close to the RV park!!!
