We probably shouldn’t have booked to stay here 3 nights. There is not much to do for us, unless you want to spend a lot of money.
$100 a person train trip
$179 a person ATV tour
$155 a person jet boat tours
$90 a person river raft trips
After spending so much yesterday we just went into town to look around. This is main street.
Virtually all gift shops, restaurants and tour companies. A tourist town. There were some interesting food places.
It seems the local school or community center is putting on a circus soon because they walked down the middle of the street trying to drum up business.
At the north end of town there is a small park and a rocky beach at the confluence of three large rivers. To get there you first have to cross this very flexible bridge. We saw one person go through the cracks and get very wet shoes.
It came with directions. We are not sure why.
There was a very wide area of fast moving water. We saw a lot of tree trunks and roots rushing by. You could tell the different coloured water from each river.
Jennie did some more rock collecting.
We could see part of Denali off in the distance.
We saw some of the raft “adventurers” floating by.
Jennie checked out a bunch of the gift shops while I people watched. It was actually hot here and after a while we just walked back to the RV to relax. I have no idea what we are going to do tomorrow.
Looks like you hit a beautiful patch of weather!!
