Just a short post today. It was a lousy day weather wise, cold and very rainy. It was a good day to waste in a drive to a new place. We moved over to mid northern New Hampshire to start our exploration of the White Mountains.
The drive up the interstate was quite hilly and mostly up.
The GPS programs would have had me do most of the way on the interstates. I saw that using highway 302 was distance wise shorter but probably not time wise. It was definitely more interesting.
It was a bit narrow in places but it followed a river valley so it was relatively flat.
We love to drive through the small towns.
We are tucked into the Twin Mountain RV Park. Nothing special but it got good reviews because the owners are great. Jennie is happy now, that after our time in Quechee with no hookups or TV, we are now back with full hookups.
I expected the park to be busier. The owner said that Memorial Day weekend is mostly for tenters, which they can’t accommodate. There are only a few of us crazy RVers out this early.
I collected a bunch of brochures at the office and spent the afternoon figuring out what we are going to do for the week that we are here. The forecast for the next two days is for more rain and there is not a lot of indoor stuff to do. After that it is supposed to get sunny again.
