Today we had been going to do a bike ride on path that runs from north of Osoyoos to the town of Oliver. When we drove by the start the other day it seemed like the path was a bit gravelly for our road bike tires and the actual route of the path didn’t seem that interesting. So no bike ride.
We just decided to walk from the campground along the lakeshore to downtown and back. The strip of land between the two parts of the lake has a nice flowered walking path so guess what most of the pictures today are of.
Just south of the RV park are a couple of gated communities. Massive spiked gates and then a short brick wall beside it that anyone could climb.
There is a definite southwest influence to a lot of the buildings around here.
The Pioneer Walkway Park.
Here come the flower pictures.
The view across the lake towards downtown Osoyoos with Mount Kobau, from yesterday, in the background.
From Google maps, I think this is approximately where we made it to.
We found these rocks that had a message on the back that said to post a picture to Facebook with a hashtag but I am not on Facebook.
Around looking back at the RV Park.
I wonder how long the sand castle will last.
A nice beach at the end of Main Street.
We have to have at least one photosphere everyday.
After a quick lunch we headed back.
The high today was around 27C with no wind. Altogether we only did about 6 km but with the heat it felt like more.
A beautiful lake view with pretty spring flowers! Fantastic!
